Today, I found a note from April 2007.
It's a note roughly put on the back of a car service receipt. It was in April 2007, when I drove Michelle to school for her required ACT test. We arrived about 10 minutes early. Sitting in the car, I started answering Michelle's algebra questions, hence the note.
When
she came home in the afternoon, I asked her if she used the "algebra
knowledge" I taught her in the car. She said "yeah, we actually had a
problem like that..." Wow, just like that, Michelle got a 34 on her ACT.
Don't forget, Michelle never believed in studying or preparing for
tests in high school. At one point in 2006, I announced that if Michelle
could finish high school, I'd write a book about parenting -:)). I used
to tell friends that "My little Michelle applied every drop of her
knowledge to each of her tests."
I don't pretend to know math, I didn't.
I don't pretend to be a qualified mother, I wasn't.
Scary times when I look back...
Thank god Dr. Michelle has made it on her own!!
