For the first time, I volunteered at a back-to-school registration event today. It was wonderful to see so many high school students - happy, energetic, and full of HOPE!! It makes me wonder what the world will look like by the time they graduate...
Hard to believe it's been so long since Dr. Michelle started high school back in 2004. As I watched the students and their parents making their way through the hallways together, it hit me that I had never attended any of Michelle's back-to-school registration events. The feeling of guilt was overwhelming - did I really get my priorities wrong 20-30 years ago??? Thank God Michelle turned out okay without much of her parents' involvement! -:))
