For the first time, I volunteered at a back-to-school registration event today. It was wonderful to see so many high school students - happy, energetic, and full of HOPE!!
Hard to believe it's been so long since Dr. Michelle started high school back in 2004. As I watched the students and their parents making their way through the hallways together, it hit me that I had never attended any of Michelle's back-to-school registration events. The feeling of guilt was overwhelming - did I really get my priorities wrong 20+ years ago??? Thank God Michelle turned out okay without much of her parents' involvement! -:))
It also makes me wonder what the world will look like by the time they graduate...
