Autumn in Alaska

Autumn in Alaska is beyond beautiful. It's a very short season. But if you are lucky to catch it, you'll be rewarded with overwhelmingly vibrant colors, in a massive scale!  The layers of colors in front of you make the autumn in Alaska quite unique.  You'd have blue mountains with glaciers and white clouds at far; and then bright yellow, orange leaves come in waves through distance all the way to the trees right in front of you...  The red leaves grow on low bushes, all over the hills.  When you look closer, they are right above the ground, but glow with bright red color.

What I've learned over the years is that the autumn beauty is very difficult to capture and present.  It's an art to find the unique rhythm from the overwhelming colors, and yet, the overwhelming colorfulness is the essence of the autumn beauty...

On this trip, I've been telling myself to forget about the pictures, simply take it all in and live the moment - my photographs will never be able to do justice to the true beauty of the autumn in Alaska!
