The long awaited postcards from our Antarctica trip have finally
all arrived. For those of you who enjoy reminiscing our non-digital way
of life from 30 years ago, if you ever go to explore the southern
ocean, make sure that you stop by the 3 most famous post offices at the
bottom of the world. AND, of course, make sure that you bring the
mailing addresses...
I remember being soooo
well prepared for everything for the trip, except that... I did not
write down Michelle's mailing address in Boston. While spending 22 days
in the southern ocean without cell connections, at each post office, I
carefully wrote messages on a postcard to Michelle and mailed it to her
childhood home in Naperville -:))
Picture 1 = Postcard from Folkland Island. Mailed out on 1/31/18, and arrived on 2/17/18. Traveled 18 days.
Picture 2 = Postcard from South Georgia. Mailed out on 2/4/18, and arrived on 3/29/18. Traveled 54 days.
Picture 3 = Postcard from Antarctica. Mailed out on 2/13/18, and arrived on 4/13/18. Traveled 59 days.
